We finally have a National Honor Society chapter at ECS! Just this month we inducted our very first group of NHS members. And because we have such amazingly intelligent students at Evergreen, the group consisted of a whopping 45 juniors and seniors. That means half of our students in those grades met the rigorous standards to qualify. Impressive!
Evergreen Christian School Loudoun County is now accepting applications for the 2025-2026 school year, and our Admission team will be hosting admission events for parents and students. We look forward to meeting you!
ECS senior Ben Harders (shown with College Advisor Dr. Christine McCurdy and Head of School Michael Dewey) was selected as a recipient of the Rensselaer Medal from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY. This premier merit scholarship, with a value of $40,000 per year, is guaranteed for four years (five years for the B.Arch. program) for each Medalist who is accepted and enrolls at Rensselaer. Well done, Ben!

We have committed to doing a better job when it comes to communicating with our school community. This commitment to improvement encompasses every aspect of our program, from general information coming out of the School Office, to the very specific communication that teachers provide on class assignments and student progress. We have made this commitment in part because of the feedback we have received from parents. As a school that partners with parents, it is critical that we improve in these areas. Our community has spoken, and we are listening.
Count Your Blessings: In just three year’s time, Evergreen Christian School has accomplished quite a bit. We have gone from 36 students enrolled in 2021 to over 170 students in 2024. While our first graduating class was comprised of only 16 seniors, we saw the class of 2024 bring in more than one million dollars in scholarship offers from some of the most prestigious universities in our country. This year we will graduate 40 seniors, and the following year over 50. This past April, the Middle States Association granted ECS full accreditation through 2032. Our very first year as a school we offered 21 different classes; this year we offer 75 different courses from which our students can select. As the old hymn appropriately reminds us, “Count your blessings, name them one by one; count your blessings, see what God hath done.
Governor Youngkin commended Evergreen for providing the kind of education where students are challenged to apply their faith to contemporary issues facing our world today. He concluded his message to graduates with this charge: “Go out into the world with what you have been given. Go out into the world and be confident. Go out in the world and stand strong in your faith. Go out into the world with hope in the Lord and do not worry. You will soar!”
