Sports Offered
ECS has a gym and athletic fields that are known to many in the Loudoun area. With these capabilities, we offer field and court sports such Basketball, Cross Country, Equestrian, Football, Golf, Soccer, Tennis, Volleyball, and Wrestling. Additional sports will be offered in the future. Teams will be developed as determined by students’ interests.
Athletic Philosophy
Evergreen Christian School involves its student-athletes in interscholastic sports in order to, first and foremost, glorify and honor God with the talents and abilities He has given. We also believe athletics is a great tool to build Christian character, teach discipline, and to learn to face adversity and challenges with a steady eye, a courageous spirit, and reliance upon the ultimate authority, Jesus Christ. Athletics is a form of worship and our number one goal is building men and women of godly character in our athletic programs. While each sport will be unique in how it carries out our philosophy, all of our sports will follow a biblical model for competing.
Athletic Conferences
ECS is a member of the following athletic conferences:
- Northern Virginia Independent Athletic Conference (all sports)
- Metro Private School Conference (boys' basketball)
NCAA
Evergreen Christian School is a member of the National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA) Eligibility Center. Athletes, coaches, and parents in ECS and non-ECS athletic programs may access ECS for eligibility requirements through their individual NCAA student accounts. If there are any questions, please contact Dr. Christine McCurdy at CMcCurdy@ECSLoudoun.org.
