Truth | Character | Service

Evergreen Christian School is a community of believers in Jesus Christ who desire to raise their children in the historic Christian faith, to “bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord” (Ephesians 6:4), to prepare them “to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you” (1 Peter 3:15), to enable them “to contend for the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints” (Jude 3), and to “serve the Lord with gladness” (Psalm 100:2).

The goal of ECS is to see God’s image manifested in each student so that they walk humbly with God in their minds, love mercy in their hearts, and act justly in their lives.

Parent Testimonial

Christ Comes First!
"We are so blessed to send our two children to a school where Christ comes first. He is the foundation and basis for training up the students as tomorrow’s fine Christian Leaders. Classroom dynamics encourage the students to formulate opinions, challenge ideas, stretch in their knowledge, and form a basis for their beliefs and defend them. All of this, along with the community and friendships that have formed, make this school invaluable to our family." (~an ECS parent)

Chapel

Evergreen Christian School seeks to impart truth, which is the Word of God, written and incarnate. (Psalm 119:160; John 14:6) Students participate in weekly Chapel services by leading worship and spending time in Bible study. Guest speakers, faculty members, and student leaders teach and encourage the student body.

Essential Questions Project

The Essential Questions Project is an integral part of the overall curriculum of Evergreen Christian School and is designed to help the student articulate the Christian worldview and build Christian scholarship. The project commences in Grade 9 with students being provided their first five essential questions and culminates in Grade 12 with the completion of the senior thesis and oral defense prior to graduation. Each year students are provided five new essential questions to answer.

Missions

The work in missions is never easy, but it is the heart of Christ. It is a reminder to take the Gospel to our neighbors and those far away. We pray and hope that students will be on a mission field, whether here at home or serving other nations. We must be willing to share what God has done for us.

Thoughout the year and during Missions Week, Evergreen Christian School students hear from a variety of missionaries and local/international ministries.

We pray that the Lord will stir our students' hearts for missions and that each student would prayerfully consider the role God has for them to play in fulfilling the Great Commission in this season of their lives and beyond!

Community Service

Evergreen Christian School wants each student to be a leader and have a heart of service because that's our honor and purpose in life! To inspire Christian service, 40 hours of community service work is required for each year a student is enrolled at ECS.

Service is based on the verse from Matthew 20:28, "just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many."
