Students returned from Christmas break for a week filled with fun dress-up days and playful competitions. In what has become an annual New Years tradition at ECS, Spirit Week kicked off on January 2 with Pajama Day. In addition to Twin Day and School Spirit Day, students had fun dressing in the clothing of the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s on Decades Day. Each day’s schedule was adjusted to provide an hour for student competitions, which included tug of war, dodgeball, ultimate football. The highlight of the week was Bubble Ball Soccer, which is likely to be a regular activity for years to come. Spirit Week was scheduled to conclude on Saturday with the Evergreen Frost Fling dance, which was postponed due to snow.
