During Missions Week 2023 (March 6-10) students are hearing from a variety of missionaries and local/international ministries, including the Least of These Foundation, Tree of Life Ministries, Helping Haitian Angels, and Cru. The work in missions is never easy, but it is the heart of Christ. It is a reminder to take the Gospel to our neighbors and those far away. We pray and hope that students will be on a mission field, whether here at home or serving other nations.

Fun things are happening in the Art Foundations class. Students are taking their artworks into the third dimension and are forming human figures from wire and plaster bandages. The modeling work is messy, but enjoyable. Many students are aiming to convey an emotion to the viewer through their work. Some students are collaborating to display a group scene.

At our winter pep rally, ECS celebrated our winter sports teams - boys and girls wrestling, JV boys and girls basketball, and varsity boys basketball. The wrestling team showed off the moves they use to help them pin (or avoid being pinned by) their opponents, and the boys and girls basketball teams were introduced to the student body. Also, ECS honored our girls volleyball team for their accomplishments in the fall season. They were given an ovation for their well-earned 2nd place finish in the conference championship after only one season of playing together. To finish the event, dodgeball teams once again competed to show their skills. Go, Eagles!
