Having already been named a semi-finalist in the National Merit Scholarship Competition, Senior Jacob B. has officially become a finalist! Jacob has accomplished quite a bit since coming to ECS, but what is truly most impressive about this young man is all that he has contributed to our school.
Head of School Michael Dewey says, "Having had him as a sophomore student in my Biblical Hermeneutics class, I know him to be an energetic and insightful leader in class discussions, always going out of his way to draw others into the discussion. As an Evergreen Christian Council student chaplain, I have seen him boldly share God’s word and prayerfully guide his fellow students at Chapel, See You at the Pole, and community service events. As I scroll through school photos, I’m amazed at how Jacob seems to be in just about every one of them, and always with a different group of students—sure evidence that he is a friend to all."
We’re proud of you, Jacob, and we are looking forward to seeing how you put your Merit Scholarship offers to use serving God.
